I've spent a lot of time in the bath over the years.

People who know me well would find that (given my appearance, and rather particular odor) quite baffling.

But still. If I could turn back the clock, and recover all those lost hours of warm, watery bliss reading novels and going slowly pruney, then I would rip out my bath, replace it with a shower, and put the tub outside.

Many people use old baths as planters for raised bed gardening. It makes total sense! They come with built-in drainage, and hold loads of soil.

They're designed to be able to take abuse, and won't rust away overnight.

Just be sure you place them right -- they are heavy and almost impossible to move once full of soil.
