You can create your own small kitchen garden in a corner of your patio or balcony, by creating a grouping of terracotta pots at different heights.

Not only you will be able to grow fresh herbs for your cooking, but also enjoy the smell if you brush against them.

Strawberry pots allow you to grow more strawberries in the same space than a standard terracotta pot would use.

There are several sizes and materials to choose from. They often have a bad reputation, but by devising a watering method to insure even the bottom tier's strawberry plants get enough water, the problems will be minimized.

Herbs, on the other hand, are more tolerant. Provided they get enough sun and consistent moisture, they will thrive in pots.

Pick the herbs you use the most, in this case, a variety of mints (peppermint, chocolate mint), rosemary, and parsley.

Mint is a great choice for containers, as it spreads out of control easily if planted on the ground.
