Container Flower Gardening Ideas: Zinnias and Gazanias in a Strawberry Pot

This is one of the easiest container flower displays to create, and a great way to use those old strawberry pots you have lying around. Maybe your crop of fruits didn't work out, or you want something different to grow this year?

Zinnias do all the 'heavy lifting' for the color in your display. They come in all kinds of hues, from pale yellow and white through to dark red.

You can also find mixed color Zinnias, with contrasting colors on the leaves of individual flowers. Dramatic!

Try to tone in your Zinnias with your Gazanias. These complement each other. While Gazanias don't have such a range, they are very large, bright flowers that look great in a bright, sunny spot.

It's nice to use the verticality of a strawberry pot to give the arrangement some height. You can also use multiple smaller pots side by side. If you do, try to find some of different heights, so you get a similar effect.

Please use the Comments link below if you have tried this display, or have any questions about the arrangement.
