Container Flower Gardening Ideas: Lantana, Ornamental Millet, Fan Flower
This arrangement creates a huge contrast! It takes the idea we introduced with our Fountain Grass and Portaluca arrangement, and develops it with extra color and texture variety.
Starting with Lantana, which is like a miniature Rhododendron, these incredible flowers are available in all kinds of colors. You can get "solid" colors or mixed colors, for an extra splash of brightness if that's what you're looking for.
Next up, Ornamental Millet. This comes in an array of types, but our favorite are the shorter, spiky, vertical ones. The longer, droopy ones start to hang down and may obscure the flowers -- but if you like that effect, then they may still work for you.
The small blue fan flowers areScaevola. These extraordinary blue blossoms are a nice way to counter-balance the blast of color you get from Lantana, and really finish off the arrangement, bringing color out and away from the container.
